Boys and ear piercings?

Question

I've always loved earrings on boys and I've always been for piercing ears as soon as getting the okay from the doctor as far as girl but how does that work with boys? Lol. My little man is due 12/30. Any of you mommas pierce your baby boys ear(s)? Are you for or against it right away? Curious...

I would not pierce a baby boy's ears at all! My baby girl, I will pierce as soon as the dr says its okay. I think it's a little tacky for a baby boys ears to be pierced. Sorry just my opinion.

I'm not against other moms getting their babies ears pierced so young, but I don't necessarily agree with it. I think, boy and girl, babies should be able to grow up and decide that on their own, especially for a boy. Let him decide if he wants that when he's older.

I think that the child should be able to decide for themselves when they are older. When I got mine pierced it was a big but great lesson in responsibility too. Since there are far fewer boys wearing earrings than girls (not that it's wrong for boys), I think that's an even bigger reason to let them choose when older. It was a special gift for me and a big sign of trust when I was allowed to make that choice.

I would pierce my daughters as soon as possible but I'd wait a little longer to do my baby boys just to see if it'd "fit" him. SO's okay with it and so am I obviously lol.

Honestly I don't like seeing little boys with pierced ears let alone a baby boy. I think it should be up to him if he wants pierced ears or not when he is in high school. In my opinion that should be the appropriate age. I seen boys under 5 with pierced ears and it just doesn't look right, especially when they are wearing saggy pants and looking like a thug. Just my opinion. With a girl is totally different.:)

Boys or girls, I'm waiting until my child asks for ear piercings. I was 6 when I got my done and yes I cried for 5 minutes, but then I stopped. And it was so exciting and special for me.

Everyone has different opinions though, so do whatever you think is best

I think it's for boys and girls. Why the hell should it matter, lol. They are ears. Guys can pierce their lip just like a girl what makes ears so damn special?

However, I'm going to wait till my daughter is older. I want it to be her decision. To show her that it's her body, her choice, and to teach her some responsibility. Plus it can be something we go do together.
