So I'm posting this here because I feel I can connect more and relate more to single moms out there about Childcare. My baby sitter had called me and let me know that she had an urgent family emergency outside of the country and flew out that same day she told, thing is I work Sunday. I told her it was okay etc and so I text my manager to let her know that there's a high chance I won't be able to work Sunday. And this is how our conversation went. Mind her that we have about 5 people working that day (small shoe store) so not having me there wouldn't actually make any difference. Obviously this asshole has no consideration whatsoever! This is my first time asking for a day off, she's very nice to everyone else but I feel like I'm excluded at times I work with her. I had one coworker that decided not to show up for 3 consecutive shifts and my manager gave no shit about it and here she is working happily giggling unicorns and rainbows. Sorry I am just furious, my baby comes first but I also have to provide. I have no choice but to come in and drop off Derrick at the hospital with my sister sick there. I have no family or close friends so its so tough! I'm also a single mother and I wish she had a little sympathy.
