When did your SO first say "I love you" ?

Hello everyone! My name is Anne and I'm new to the app. I am 20 years old and my boyfriend and I have been happily dating for nine months. However, we have never said the words, "I love you" to each other. I'm not one to rush anything but it does concern me that he hasn't said it yet. There are sweet moments that we have where I think he will say it, but he doesn't. But he always says, "I really like you, but I don't know about love yet. I don't want to say it until I really mean it".  And I can totally understand that, but it makes me feel insecure that if he doesn't feel it now, will he ever? Also, it makes me especially insecure when I see other couples that have not been dating for as long as we have say "I love you" to each other because they say, "we just didn't need any more convincing". Anyways, I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic and hope everyone can share their stories! 💖

i wanted to tell my boyfriend that I love him around 2 and 1/2 or 3 months but I didn't know how he felt and I didn't really want to be the first to say it so I just waited. we hung out one day a couple weeks before 4 months and I was gonna tell him when he left that night that I'm in love with him and as I went to say it he was like "guess what?" and I asked what & he said "I'm so in love with you" 😍😍

Been dating my bf for 7 months now, and I said it pretty early at 4 months and he gave the same response that you mentioned- he doesn't want to say it too soon. Since then he said it a month later & a handful of times since. Just tonight we had a convo about why he is still hesitant & says he just isn't sure what it means to love me, but reiterates that he cares about me greatly. My boyfriend didn't say it until we had been together 6 months. We hiked to the top of a bluff and had a picnic. He gave me a promise ring and told me he loved me as we watched the sunset ❤ It is my favorite day.

My BF realised how shy and timid I was and so he wouldn't scare me off he showed he loved me but waited for me to feel ready to say it first which I thought was really sweet. Honestly my boyfriend and I met online. We talked for about a month till we met in person. It may sound crazy but he told me before we even met in person and were actually dating. It was so cute.
