Epidural???

I know I'm still very early in pregnancy but I was just wondering how many people got a epidural and does it hurt a lot to get it? I'm not good with pain lol

Got it exactly 2 weeks ago and goodness gracious was it a life saver :) within the contractions if was a piece of cake lol

It actually doesn't hurt as much as people say it does.  I was nervous because I was told it is painful but when I actually got it myself I was like, psh I could do this again.  The only pain I got was the numbing needle he put in my back to numb the area so I wouldn't feel the epidural going in my back.  The rest was pressure.  I will say though that what helped me was telling them when I had contractions so they knew.  I was shaking a lot but that is normal and they know you can't stay completely still because of your contractions.  My suggestion: tell them when you are contracting so they know.  I was worried about the whole process so they actually distracted me by talking to me and telling me what they were doing back there.  After it was over it was easier than I expected.

I pray I can make it through without an epidural because the last time it was horrible! I hope I can go completely natural like my first baby

I wouldn't say pain, it was a lot of pressure. But as soon as that bad boy is in you won't care how it got there.

I got it, yes it hurt but only for a minute and then once it kicked in I couldn't feel the contractions and I could relax and "enjoy" labor. Worth it. 👶🏻😊

I got the epidural and I waited until I was dialated at an 8 I almost couldn't get it but I was so out of it and uncomfortable already that I didn't even notice it was being done

They gave me mine during a contraction so I was already in pain...it's not that bad.
