Has anyone's husband missed labor?

My husband travels for work and can not miss his trips. He is gone 3 weeks before our due date. I'm so scared I will go early and he will miss it.

I'm in the same boat. Family is all on the east coast too and no where near us. My neighbor plans on taking me if I go into labor if my husband isn't here.

Can he file for FMLA? My SO works for the railroad, so he could be taking a train 4-5 hours away when he's on duty. They have an emergency line & they get them back home ASAP for situations including birth, but still makes me nervous! Definitely check into the family leave as soon as you're able to! Maybe it will give you peace of mind knowing you have a plan in place just in case. We're only a little over 2 weeks from my due date now. Good luck momma!! Wishing you a healthy & fast L&D!
