rice cereal??

When?? Or are you feeding your baby rice cereal? Mine is 12 weeks she's drinking 3oz every 2-3 hours during the day 3-4 at night. She seems to want more after day time feedings but if I give her 4 she spits up for hours then gets mad cause she's hungry again lol. Just wondering if I should try a little cereal?

No food before 4-6 months and it's not recommended to ever put cereal in the bottle anymore. I know some docs still recommend for reflux but it's an outdated practice. And they have also found high arsenic levels in rice so I don't even recommend giving that at all anymore plus it can be constipating. When ready for solids I recommend oatmeal instead. I'm a pediatric dietitian 😊

It's not recommended to give them anything but formula for the first four to six months. Their digestive systems simply aren't ready for it.

I'm EBF and am waiting till 6 months for cereal / solids. Read a few articles which were good reads on knowing when your little one is ready by the cues they give.

My baby just turned 3 months and used to spit up a lot and was actually on medicine I took her off and started putting rice in her bottles and she now does not spit up at all and can go 6-7 hours with out eating

1 teaspoon to every ounce is what I've read and done, its helped people I know with spit up...
