Skipping periods

Does anyone else that's on the pill skip periods? I just don't take the placebo pills, my period sucks so why not just not get it, and I always falls on a week that I am seeing my SO or have something important. I talked to the pharmacist and she said it was totally fine to skip, does anyone else do this?
