4 month sleep advice?

The last couple of nights our little guy is not sleeping well. Our normal routine is nurse him around 9 and put him down asleep when he's done nursing. He was sleeping from about 9:30- 6:00 but now will wake up about an hr after putting him down and sometimes we cant get him back down after that.  He will be 4 months in 5 days. Is it time to sleep train? He's been sleeping in a pack and play by our bed , but was going to switch him to his crib this week until this bad sleeping started.

We do extinction CIO. We went from waking every 2-3 hours to sleeping from 8-10 hours at night! Took about 4 days.

Could be a sign that he's over tired also. Try putting him to bed earlier. My LO started going to bed at 8 and is sleeping much better. I also started sleep training last night and took the pacifier away because I think it's part of the reason she was waking so frequently- it would fall out of her mouth and she'd have a hard time going back to sleep without it. She cried for 3 minutes tonight before passing out. She's cried longer when I used to rock her to sleep and she got crappy naps!!

We fought the horrible 4 month sleep regression by sleep training her a week and a half into it. We decided on the Ferber method and it's been the best thing ever!!! She sleeps so well now and is even happier than before. And so r we.

We used the sleeping schedule on this website to get our little one back on track from the dreaded sleep regression.  Turns out she was overtired at night.
