Am I over thinking?

Question

I'm only 19 and my boyfriend is 24. We've known each other for 2 years. He's literally my best friend I can tell him everything. I've never felt this way with anyone else. I really want to have a family with him but I feel like it's to soon. I'm on birth control and he's okay with it. But I just feel like he's upset about it still. I love him I really do and he knows I'll do anything for him. Is it to soon or am I just over thinking all of this? Please no rude comments. I'm looking for advice.

Instead of thinking about starting a family, why not think of starting a life with each other. But I'm also coming from a place where I believe marriage should come before babies.

Honestly love , I think you should wait. You don't have to rush and you might end up changing your mind . You're only 19 and have so much more growing to do and so much more to learn. Having a baby is a lot of responsibility. My sister was 18 when she said the same thing. She had a baby and she was happy but she wished she did more things with her life before like travel more and do fun stuff. Everything revolved around the baby. But I mean if you truly believe you are ready then it's up to you but I think you should give it some more thought. And make sure you have a lot of support! Good luck girl !🙂

If you feel it's too soon then yes, it's too soon. There's not really such thing as over thinking it if that's your gut feeling which it seems it is. He's older so it's understandable but do not get pregnant until that gut feeling of "it's too soon" goes away. Could be a month, could be years, either way don't get pregnant just because he wants to. I'm sure he'll be happy to wait if he really loves you, you're both young!

Me and my now husband got together in October 2011 and by Jan 2012 i  found out I was pregnant.. Obviously this wasn't planned. But having my little boy was the best thing ever even tho we didn't really know each other. Now nearly 5years later, we have 2 beautiful boys and hopefully a third soon and married. I honestly couldn't be happier.. It may have happened quick for us but wouldn't have it any other way xxx

I met my husband when I was your age and he was your BF's age.  We got married last year in June and had our first boy in February this year.  Tbh, I would wait.  If you two are set on having a future and family together there is no need to rush into it.  I am glad we didn't have a baby until now because we got the opportunity to live our life as a couple and go out and do things before a baby took up that time.  Babies are a 25/8 attention grabber and you won't have time to do the things you want if you have a baby this early on.

If you've already travelled the world, accomplished everything you want to professionally, had all your date nights, had all your free time, fully mastered hobbies, finished your education, and everything else you already struggle to make time for, all of that stuff is instantly thrown out the window when you have a baby. You get to do one thing for yourself outside of have a baby. You get a date night, or you get to do a class, or you get to go on a trip here or there. 
 
Take your time, you have a decade left before you even have to get serious about starting a family, take your time!
