i'm convinced i will marry my current boyfriend

so i'm only 16 and my boyfriend is younger than me by about a year. we've only been together about 2 months but from the first day i met him we had an instant love. kind of like love at first sight. i'm completely dedicated to him and him to me. we've both decided we were going to marry each other. he's already found a ring actually. i couldn't see a future without him. but i'm worried that if we get engaged after a year and wait tillive graduated to get married it still won't seem like we've been together long enough to my parents or friends. what should i do?
