Unsure

Had a faint line in a test the other day, came up within a few minutes, took another today and no line, period is 4 days late and that is very unusual with my body, should I go get a blood test??? Or should I just wait a while? I've heard of women not getting a positive gets until around 2 weeks after missed period, is that possible?
