BreastFeeding

Cassandra
My LO is about to be 3 weeks old and honestly I feel like giving up!
I feel because I have tiny breast I am not producing enough milk for my baby. She gets frustrated at times like she is searching for more milk. And when I pump I can't barely get out 1.5 ounces. Help me!!!! 😞😞😞

I was told that no matter the size of your breasts, you'll produce the right amount for your baby. Pumping isn't a good indicator of what you produce because the baby will always be able to get more than a pump. I've felt "empty" at times but let the babe keep sucking because it'll help my body know to produce more! Don't give up, momma, you've got the good stuff!

If you're interested in continuing breast feeding, there is an excellent group on Facebook called Milky Mommas. Lots of great information and some very supportive moms. ❤️

And another thing I've learned, breastfeeding is hard and time consuming. It's beautiful and special but it can be difficult. It's a lot of time. At night I'm feeding or pumping or both every 3 hours. Lol even if baby is asleep I still have to pump. So good luck. I hope it all works out.

I had small breast before I was breastfeeding and I didn't/don't have a problem with my supply. It was rough the first few days in the hospital but my daughter was 2 and a half week early so the doctors said that was why. But now my breasts have grown between a c and d cup and I can pump and feed my daughter all day. You should talk to your doctor and read some articles on how to increase your supply. Pinterest has some great articles!! One I read was to pump for 20min break for 10 and then pump again. It'll help increase your supply.

Don't give up. I didn't think my son was getting enough and thought my milk was slowing down so I started to supplement with formula and got lazy. And now I can only pump about 4 oz a day and I'm trying so hard to get my milk up because I feel terrible. &He never latched on me so that's why I pump
