How often does baby eat?

How often are your babies nursing? I know it varies. I was just curious who has a schedule & who feeds on demand. I had a strict schedule going (every two hours, he is 5 weeks) but the last few days I have tried feeding him on demand. Again, just curious!

I still feed on demand at 6 months. He does have similar times each day that he's hungry so I kinda know his schedule, but it's definitely dependent on when he's hungry and wants to eat!

On demand. I don't eat on a schedule, why would I expect a new human to eat on one. 😜

Plus. My dr said it teaches them what hungry is. Not just a topping of feeling.

I feed on demand. During the day it's usually every 2-3 hrs. At night it's usually 3-4hrs between.

I was feeding on demand but recently switched to a schedule of ever 2.5 hours. He's a very needy baby and cries for every little thing so feeding him before he's at the point of crying for food has made our lives a lot easier. If nothing is consoling him before that 2.5 hours though,  I will nurse him. So I guess it's a little bit of both.

Daughter is almost 6m. I feed on demand still. At daycare they have her on a schedule though. Weekends are on demand & vary between every 3-5hrs.

I feed my 4.5 month old on cue/on demand. Sometimes he wants to eat a lot, sometimes just a little thirsty and the times vary. I go with the flow.
