Silly Question.... Hair extensions 💁 and Nail Polish 💅during labor?????

Question

As I'm getting ready for delivery any day now and packing my bags I wanted to know based on your knowledge or experience are any type of hair extensions and nail polish allowed during labor and delivery (including C section). According to my mom and MiL, they are telling me I should remove my extensions before baby arrives. But I want to keep them in cause it looks nice and after birth of my child I know I won't have time to get my natural hair done and I will have plenty of visitors. 
For the nail polish I was told that they may need clear nails so that they can check blood circulation. That I kinda get... But still 
I hope they don't ask me to remove any of my hair extensions or my nail polish since they are nicely done 😞 
I'm also thinking of packing a little bit of makeup to keep me distracted from pain also 😁 
What have you experienced or heard ladies about cosmetics during labor?

In my hospital in the uk you can have everything like this. Looking good can make you feel abit more human X

I have eyelash extensions and they said they were fine but was told to be prepared to remove my makeup if I needed a csection. Maybe the same policy at your hospital.

I had a gel manicure done right before I had my daughter. It was a nude color and they never said anything about it during delivery. The only thing that bothered me about it was that while I was laboring, I started to notice that it was lifting on a few nails. It drove me nuts! Especially since I had just gotten it that day...ugh. Still annoying.

This nail thing is so strange. I just asked 3 people who had babies this year and they all were fine with nail polish.

Nail polish needs to be off. No false nails either. Not even clear nail varnish. It interferes with the probe they put on your finger to monitor your oxygen level. If you end up c section this will be on your finger continuously.

If you use clip in extensions, I'd suggest an alternative like a ponytail one (goes right over a bun, seriously 2 minutes to do 😁 the curly ones look better imo!)  then you're not worried with putting them in and out and fixing them. If they're beaded or sewn or glued then you're good :) they also make clip in pieces that go under and cover the bottom half of your hair and it's one solid piece which may be easier too.

The hair should be fine But you might get hot and it might knot up. Can you put it up while you delivery? Nail polish should be fine.

Hair extensions are fine.. The nails might be a problem.. I wouldn't take the extensions out!!

If your hair extensions have metal clips they need to be removed for a csection so they can use electric cautery.

If anything they might use nail polish remover on one finger for the pulse sensor... Your hair shouldn't matter at all
