Anyone else?? Gender reveal made me sad

So, we Found out we are having a precious little boy and I started crying when they told us. My bf and all the guys in our families jumped with joy. I really had my hopes up for a girl. Then I just felt so horrible for feeling sad! I'm super grateful that I'm having a healthy baby... Period! But today I felt like a total jerk! Has anyone else felt this way? Is it just weird pregnancy hormones or what? 15?weeks today and due February 12, 2017 with our little Boy!

Omg I secretly felt the same way! Found out 2 days ago from blood test, and whilst I was extremely happy to learn that baby is healthy, a tiny selfish part of me was "oh, there goes my fantasy of doing girlie things with a daughter." We had a girl's name chosen and everything but never even thought of a boy's name 😬 And yes, my husband and all the men on both sides were shouting as though their team had won the Super Bowl and I just sat there, smiling and secretly going "wtf? Not only do I have something with teeth growing inside me but it's also growing a penis too?!" My only consolation these past 2 days is the old saying that boys love their moms forever?

I'm sorry. I think it is normal to feel the way you do.

The entire time I had my hopes and felt 100% it was a girl. Only looked at girl themes and girl names. Then a few weeks back my doctor thought she saw "a little pee pee between their legs" and somehow it hurt my feelings and made me sad. lol. So silly I know.
After that happened I felt so guilty for feeling that way. Overall I thought healthy is really the most important.

It took me a week to adjust to imagining having a boy.
But last week I got a call with my blood work and they confirmed that I was having a girl. I cried of joy. My emotions are all over the place lol.

But everyone says, you will love your baby no matter what.❤️

I think it's normal as long as you don't dwell on it and stay disappointed. Once you're holding him you will be so in love with him you'll forget all about your wish for him to have been a girl. Congrats, mama!!
