Still spotting!

I am 38 weeks pregnant and lost my mucus plug at 36 weeks but I am still spotting!! Has this happen to anyone else? I keep telling my Dr. about it and he keeps saying its normal. I have never experience this in pregnancy before and I am starting to worry.
