Robe for the hospital?

Question

I bought myself a robe with a sort of nursing nightgown today. I thought I really wanted it but now I am wondering if I will even use it at the hospital. Did anyone wear one with their first baby? I didn't have one with my first baby but I did want one at the time. I  am just asking because it was quite expensive and I would like to return it if it's one of the useless things.

I want one because with my first the doctors insisted i kept the hospital gown on and every time i got up i had to catch the back to keep my butt from showing. Plus they encouraged me to walk the halls and i felt awkward with my SO tailing me to keep the back closed. A robe would have solved everything

I just ordered one from Pink blush maternity...because it was so pretty all white lace edged. Now I started wondering if ordering white was a huge mistake....

My sister used hers in the hospital after she was cleaned up from delivery and then many evenings at home. I have one to wear but I think  gonna be more of the yoga pants and nursing top type. What will you be comfortable in?

I loved mine but wear it around home and make sure it doesn't rub under your arms or across your chest funny, my nursing gown had a lining on it that was very uncomfortable but I loved the robe.

I brought a super soft robe with me to the hospital when I had my son & I'm so glad I did. The place was freezing after my little guy was born I just didn't feel warm enough for days. I already got one for my next delivery.

I just bought a nightgown and matching robe set a size bigger (they were on sale for $6/set so I bought two). That's all I wore for the first few days with my last 3 babies, even at home when nursing or someone is visiting unannounced and want to cover up. This time I took apart the straps and added Velcro so I can just open it up to nurse or do skin on skin.

I got robes and gowns to wear at the hospital since I'm having a c-section this time, i figured yoga pants probably wouldn't be the way to go.

I Wished I had one with my first baby! You feel so uncomfortable and exposed in the hospital. I just bought myself a fuzzy robe today actually and I'm super excited! I think it's more of a luxury like a nice blanket! I like soft things ;)

I bought one and brought it with me. I never used it. I changed into a breastfeeding gown the hospital gave me and stayed in it the whole time.
