Help!! Need Advice

So I recently found out I had an std, but I got the medicine and it cleared up after a couple of days. However my SO is in college and I don't know how to approach him and tell him. I'm pretty sure he gave it to me and i still want to be with him and we are seeing each other soon but don't want to take any chances on catching it again. How do I tell him?
