Did/will you use home Doppler?

I've heard too much of it might be bad?? What's YOUR story!!

I choose not to use one because I've seen so many women on this app freak out over any change in their babies heart rate or not being able to find it. Babies heart rate changes through out the pregnancy. At my first appointment, my son was in the 160's at the next one it dropped to 130-140's but the doctor said that it was completely normal.
Seems to cause unnecessary stress.

I used the Doppler starting about 8 weeks but couldn't hear anything til
Into my 9th week. I used it twice a day  til about 16 weeks (I had the flu so I was checking a little more often). Once I felt movement consistantly I only use occasionally

My midwife told me that dopplers create a lot of noise in utero that can be distressing for the baby.  She said someone did a study that revealed that using a doppler is equivalent to the baby being right next to a freight train in terms of the noise,  and that's why they tend to move around so much while the doppler is being used.  I've only had it used on me twice at the OB and hopefully never again.  My midwife uses a special stethoscope instead.

I'm notnusingnone because there are studies that believe they can cause sensory issues.

I bought one early on in my pregnancy. I used it all through out my first trimester and my second trimester until I could really feel my baby boy move. Just gives me peace of mind.

I used it 2-3 days per week until I could feel him move. My doctor said it's perfectly safe.

Got one when we we're told baby may have heart problems. I use it now and then, when I'm not feeling movements for a long time.
