Bad pain!

I'm 24 weeks and I've been having braxton hicks all day but nothing painful or regular. About an hour ago I started to have this pain in my upper left stomach that won't go away. It feels almost like a contraction that won't stop if that makes sense. I tried drinking more water, walking around, etc... nothing helps. Waiting to hear back from my Dr , but just wondering if anyone else had anything like this.
