Are my nails too short?

I just got a manicure. I don't bite my nails, but am constantly picking at them, especially with the stress of ttc. They USED to be long. Do you think that, even with the manicure, they look too short? Now that they have polish on them, I likely won't be picking at them anymore..and hopefully they can grow!!

I keep my nails just a tad bit longer than yours. I love the look of long polished nails but I can't stand having them! I do a lot of typing at work and I hate that feeling of my nails clicking on the keyboard, plus I make more typos when my nails inadvertently hit other keys. Between pregnancy and prenatal vitamins my nails are super strong and grow like crazy, so I have to cut them down every two weeks.

Do your fingers hurt? If so, then yes to short. But I'm the same way. I pick at them. But if I try hard I can get them a little past my finger tip. Don't like them too long. 
Maybe try a more neutral colour and they won't pop out as much. Until you like the length.
