False labor.

How long and for what period of time have you had false contractions before you went into real labor? Im 37w2d and having false contractions for probably a week and the last 3 days they are really frequent but dont have a pattern. I have to take some pills that stop progressing it or else i can go into labor soon bit my doc whants me to hold on atleast for a week so i can be full 38 weeks prego. What are your stories?.
