Is this messed up?

I'm a nanny, and the little one I watch got sick. Instead of taking their kid to the dr, they had me go about my normal schedule, stay home with the kid and now I'm really sick. But they're still making me come in! When their kid got me sick! It's so annoying. On top of that, last minute they're changing up my work schedule, so now I'm not able to take classes this semester. Overall they're nice to me, but I really feel like they're taking advantage of me. Today on my one day off, I'm sitting at home sick. And I should be in class right now, but I wasn't allowed to register. Is any of this fair?!

I agree with Rebecca. Getting sick is one of the risks. With classes, either schedule them far in advance and tell them "hey this is my schedule I can't change it. Can we work around it" or look into night classes or online ones. 
Advice though. In the future, unless you absolutely need this particular job and know you can't get one elsewhere, don't sacrifice school for a job. If you have other options of working, look into it.

I understand it's a job but there are others out there. Why put your schooling on hold? Find a different job. Maybe one that isn't a namny position so that you have a set schedule and a contract somewhere.

As a nanny you know you're working with children. Children get sick. You're they're so the parents can work no matter what. I don't take my child to the doctor every time he gets sick. It's a risk you take when you work with kids. The schooling, work around it. Classes happen all day and they normally have online ones too. It's rough but it happens. If you're unhappy, do something else.
