Periods anyone!?!

I am five weeks just about postpartum. Last week I have been having horrible cramps. Especially when nurse my little guy! I haven't really stopped bleeding it has been light pink since two weeks after delivery now this morning it's heavy and dark red.

I am assuming this is my little unwanted visitor. Anyone else get their periods yet?

Or is this not a period and should I call my care team?

Exclusively breastfeeding and spotting at 7 weeks pp. it's either my period or I'm pregnant again.

I got my period at five weeks pp, I bled for three stopped for one week then fifth week it showed up and now it's gone. I'm breastfeeding as well.

It's more than likely your period. My first period after giving birth is always accompanied by more intense cramps. I got my period back a week ago which was 6 weeks pp. If your worried though it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call just to reassure you xx

Is it more like blood clots or flow like a period? would call just in case, the cramping while breastfeeding was told is the uterus contracting (getting smaller after birth) which is normal, but the dark blood concerns me a little bit. It's probably fine but I would call to get professional opinion. Congrats on the baby!
