WTF?!?

Came across a post about a non-stess test. What the hell is that. I'm a ftm so I've never heard of this. I asked on the post but no one answered my question.

I go bi weekly since almost 31 weeks and will have to continue until baby is born. At one of my growth scans my amniotic fluid measured above the normal range so I have to go. They check my levels every week. And put me on monitors to check baby heart rate.. The basically want to see it spike a few times and then come back down after they find a base line. It's for high risk patients so you most likely won't have to get one done if your pregnancy is going smoothly.

They hook you up to check baby heart rate, contractions and kicks. If you haven't needed it you woukdnt really need to know about it. Most don't get that test.
