Pain day after sex

My vag has been hurting pretty bad today. Had sort of rough sex last night but not as rough as we have done before. Woke up with stinging pain and itching is this normal? Thought it was wierd because I never really get in pain after rough sex. Could it be that when we were having sex I was laying on my stomach and he was on top of me with him stomach laying on my back and penetrated me like that what could have caused it? This pain is really bothering.
