Herpes

I found out today that I have herpes. I am 17 years old and feel extremely depressed about this. Within the past month I've been with 2 guys.. One of which I am seeing and really like. I am not sure who gave me it and I don't know how to tell him that I have it. We have been having unprotected sex. I am really upset and am having a very painful outbreak. The doctor I went to today prescribed me valacyclovir which I have a daily dose of. 2 pills twice for a day. Does anyone have tips on how to make outbreaks less painful? I am so upset I don't know how to tell this guy . I really like him and don't want this to ruin what we have . :(
