All in my head?

My husband and I started TTC this month. Our first try was this past Thursday.

I've been using the ovulation tests for 2 weeks, but I haven't peaked yet as per the tests. My period lasted 12 days, so I think my cycle is just off (finished nuvaring at the end of April).

Although my tests didn't show a peak, this past Friday and Saturday my CM was clear and slippery. It also stretched between my fingers. I also had pain in my lower left side.

Yesterday and today, I felt "off" in my stomach. Not quite nausea, but just yucky. My sense of smell has also been off for the past few days too. I feel bloated in my very lower abdomen.

So my questions...

1. Can the ovulation tests sometimes not work?

2. Can semen change the texture of your CM?

3. Am I just overlooking things? Am I going cray cray with the thought and excitement of TTC?
