Anyone else have a overly fussy baby?

My little guy since about two weeks old has been extremely fussy. He is now 5 weeks old He screams and cries whenever he is put down. He is even fussy when I hold. Hoping this is a phase but as the days go it gets worse and worse. We have tried everything. Bought him just about everything.

If you have a overly fussy baby what has and hasn't worked for you? I need suggestions as my first one was extremely happy content little baby.

Yes! My baby has silent reflux so is very rarely put down during the day, whenever she's not sleeping or eating she's crying. She's almost 9wks now and we had a lovely day together yesterday so smiley and playful...then screamed all night!! I'm hoping she'll grow out of it

My son gets fairly fussy when his hips are bothering him (we believe he has hip dysplAsia ultrasound most likely on Friday to confirm) and I do a lot of baby wearing

My babe nurses exclusively. We tried baby probiotics, gripe water, laying back while feeding her to make the milk come out slower, I walk and dance around the house all day, bounce her, bicycle legs, belly rubs, warm baths and playing music. The only thing that helps with her gas almost always is bouncing around the house. I'm about to give up dairy and I just ordered gas drops. Some days she is inconsolable. Her one month appointment is sept 6th.

Babywearing helps a lot! When my baby is inconsolable like that, I wear her in a Baby K'Tan and walk around and she falls asleep in five minutes and stays sleeping for a good while. Some combination of comfort (being snuggled up to me) and being upright and bouncing (working out the gas bubbles) seems to be why.

An exercise ball, warm bath or gas drops! Our baby girl screamed for 6 hours straight and found out the formula was hurting her belly. We changed the formula and give gas drops 2 times a day and she is like a new baby!

Kind of in the same boat... I wouldn't say he's as bad as my first, bc he was TERRIBLE... But he is pretty fussy when not being held...I formula feed, and mine has really bad gas and constipation... I changed a few formulas, finally on what is supposedly the best formula for this, got
My insurance to cover it and everything bc it's so expensive, in it for a week and still having the same issues... I'm at my wits end... I find that holding him a certain way will calm him down after a few minutes, but it will me a while to find that position... Just kind of experiment with new ways of holding him so he will fall asleep and stay asleep. Mine doesn't even like the pacifier which kind of sucks bc it used to soothe my first so quickly.. I know it's hard, but it will get better for us!

My daughter would cry whenever he stomach was gassy. I tried gripe water and that did help some. Turns out she is allergic to dairy which is pretty common in young babies, a lot of ppl don't even realize that's the problem. I gave up dairy over 2 weeks ago and she is totally different. No crying and cringing with pain. Doctor says we will try and introduce it back around 9 months old.

Gripe water and hylands colic tabs worked wonders for my baby girl! The hylands colic tabs puts her right to sleep when she fights her sleep at night and doesn't want to attempt to even go to sleep till 1am!! Also calmed her down tramendiously when she was fussy. She was so fussy the first 6 weeks of birth, now she's like a whole new baby!!
