9 weeks... But really 6

Ashley
My husband and I went to my first midwife appointment yesterday after a positive pregnancy test mid-July. I had already been to my initial nurse intake appt a couple weeks ago. The midwife got out the bedside ultrasound for our first "peek" and said the fetus wasn't the size it should be at 9 weeks, so she wanted me to have my "real" ultrasound right then. After that, we were told the sac was only measuring 6 weeks when I should be 9, and no heartbeat. She requested I have my first set of blood work done to test my HCG levels. The nurse called back with my results yesterday and said my levels were "very good" but we should see them double or at least increase when I go back for the same blood work tomorrow. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If you wouldn't mind saying a prayer for us or sending good thoughts, we would be grateful. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but all I can think about is what happens if it's not a viable pregnancy. 😣😢
