Does the mamaroo spoil your baby?

Question

For those of you who have the mamaroo, did you have issues when you traveled without the swing? I work out of town bi-monthly, and my baby would be with my mom. I don't want  my mom dealing with a screaming child who is just spoiled on her "fancy swing" lol. Thoughts?

My baby uses a swing, not that kind, but he is spoiled to it. He loves being swaddled and put in his swing. When we're out, we have to put him in his carseat and drive around to get him to go to sleep. When we're home, he won't fall asleep unless he's in his swing or laying beside me or his dad

It's bulky but super light actually, I have one. Neither of my girls really liked it, they preferred the rock and play. And, we do bring  that everywhere with us! I wouldn't worry about over using it, as long as your mom also does floor and tummy time with your baby.

I have mamaroo, swing and glider. I went crazy bc my daughter has reflux and tried anything to help calm her. She doesn't really like the mamaroo . She enjoys the swing but not for long. The glider/sleeper is the best thing ever invented. She lovesssss her glider. If I need to put her down and she's screaming. I can put her in it and she will stop crying and fall asleep within minutes. I would suggest maybe your mom getting a swing if you're going to use the mamaroo or a glider :).

That's why we didn't use a swing at all. We travel sometimes with my husband and I didn't want babe getting so used to a swing that we had to have it at all times. Swings aren't necessary at all.

They don't know the difference fancy or not if they like it how can it be bad. Just get a not fancy one.
