Question on getting pregnant and why it's not happening??

Hello all. I have a serious question about trying to get pregnant.

My husband and I are trying to conceive and we are having a difficult time. I am tracking my ovulation and seeing when I'm most fertile.

Every month for the past 3 months we have tried and nothing. But the weird thing is, my period is really late every time! Like late by 4-5 days, so we get excited and take a test, but it's negative and then I usually get my period like the next day (on the 5th or  6th day it's late).

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this before?

I feel like my body is broken or something and it's disheartening.

We have even got a FALSE positive one time that my period was late... And then I ended up getting it a couple days later.

Don't give up! My husband and I were trying for 5 months! I'm talking every single day we would have sex like 1-2 times sometimes even 3. I finally got pregnant in April and ended up miscarrying in May. Now in pregnant again as of July, and everything is going great. Start taking prenatal vitamins those are very important to take before conceiving and it's good for the baby. Try to do a lot of exercises. Eat healthy. Everything should fall into place. If ur period is late u might be ovulating later than u think? My cycles were 35+ days when we started ttc. Per my doctor u always will ovulate 2 weeks before ur period :) maybe bd more around that time?

Just relax. On average, it takes a healthy couple about a year to conceive. I'm sorry your period is faking you out. Hoping so hard to be pregnant can make your body start to trick you and make your period late. Good luck.
