Metaformin for PCOS and weightloss.

So I went to the doctor today to talk about my fertitlity. I have skipped some periods and my doctor suspects PCOS since I'm overweight (5'3" and 240 pounds). She gave me metaformin (originally a diabetes medication). Not only will it help with PCOS but it also helps with weightloss. I'm hopeful that this will help my husband and I achieve our BFP! Has anyone ever takin metaformin for PCOS? ?
