My pregnancy survival guide

Lisa

So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and would like to give some advice to future mommy's to be struggling with the downsides of pregnancy! Here are some tips which have helped me throughout my pregnancy.

1. Carry around a roll of small bags - You never know when you're going to be out and about and the sickness hits you! Carrying around bags stopped me from looking like I was drunk and recovering from a bad night out. I think it looked a lot better throwing up in a bag rather than on the pavement!

2. A microwaveable heatpack - my reheatable owl has helped me so, so much. From aching legs to back pain, I just warm up my owl for a minute or 2 and, presto! Soothes the pain and allows me to sleep soundly! It also smells like lavender... Mmmm

3. Warm baths and lots of them - I'm pretty bad when it comes to baths. I'll have one everyday if I'm feeling like it. They make me feel amazing and help me to get to sleep so much easier. Don't hold back, have a bath if you want one! Who cares about that water bill at the end of the month... Not me!

4. Heartburn tablets - These have helped me so much. I was struggling to sleep for weeks with bad heartburn and didn't realise I could actually buy simple tablets which ease the burning straight away. Now I just pop one of these whenever I feel like it and can sleep peacefully.

5. A huge pregnancy pillow - Yes, it takes up most of the bed and my dogs like to join me on it too, but it has helped me sleep so much easier. I love being able to put some of it between my legs, rest my bump on it and have it under my head too. I love this thing!

And that's about all I can think of. Is there anything anyone would like to add? Thanks for reading!
