Has any had Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)?

We just came back from hospital as my wife was having servere pain in here lower abdomen/pelvis, she is a first time mom so actually felt like she was going in to labour. We are just under 28 weeks, so now would not be a good time to delvier the twins. The pain lasted for about 12 minutes with sharp pain every other 45sec over the course of the 12 minutes. She was crying and seemed to be in a lot of distress. When the ambulance arrived the pain subsided and she was feeling better.

The midwife checked each twin heartbeat, Twin A 133 and Twin B 160. She said they are okay, and finished with a PAP smear to check her cervix re: risk of earl birth. Test came back negative and she suggested a referral to physiotherapist.

Has anyone else had PGP or similar symptoms?
