Advice

My boyfriend and his family are getting together this afternoon for a labor day cook out. My parents are good friends with his so they are going. I didn't even know about it until late last night. I really don't want to go because I am not a social person and every time we have a get together both our parents all drink and I hate being the one to drive them home. I have a test to take online for school and I wanna continue to clean my room. I do not want to go. But my boyfriend loves family get togethers and I feel like he will be upset if I don't go. What should I do?
