Is it weird for extended family you don't know very well to ask really specific personal questions?

My husband's uncle has been a little nosy in my opinion...This man is essentially a stranger. I've only met him once in the 5 years I've been with my husband, and I feel like it's a little weird for him to ask such a specific questions like "Are you finding out the gender before 20 weeks?" He also asked if I'm planning on doing a home birth or at the hospital, and if we're breastfeeding. My husband said I'm being too sensitive about it and reading too many "crazy women's posts" on apps, but I feel like it's weird for a man we barely know and never see to ask stuff like that...

I feel like those questions are pretty much the standard / go-to questions people ask when  someone is pregnant that they don't know well.  I don't think he was out of line at all.  Perhaps you are simply more private than most others tend to be,  which is fine.  You can choose not to answer those questions.

Those are not personal AT ALL. Those are general pregnancy/curiosity questions. Like a complete stranger could ask me those and I'd answer.

If he asked how often you have sex or weren't you afraid of stretching out your vagina, I'd be worried. I think you're way overthinking this.

I had a police officer ask me personal questions similar today and he isn't even family. I wasn't bothered at all because men can be intrigued by that stuff and his wife is pregnant too with their first.

I've had non family,  ACTUALLY STRANGERS ON THE STREET asking me that. .or even worse -was it planned?  What made u keep "it"? Are u going for natural or c section? And those were asked by complete strangers in stores or on the street. ..

I honestly don't feel like those questions are really that personal. Maybe if he was asking about something you wouldn't normally talk about like your sex life then i would be uncomfortable.

Those aren't really personal questions. I think of them as normal, standard questions. My Dad is orginally from a different country that I have never been to. I have never met any of his family because of it but have talked to them on FB and they ask me question similar and I do not find it weird at all.. Just because they aren't close family or you don't see them often doesn't mean they can't be excited for a new member of the family..
