can someone explain placentas to me😂

Ch
I'm confused. As far as I understand, the placenta nourishes the baby and what not, and it can be attached in the back or the front of your uterus. The back is more common and the front makes it harder to feel the baby kick. My baby's is attached in the back but I'm confused about the set up. Isn't the placenta the baby's bubble? Does it attach to ME where her umbilical cord meets me? And wouldn't that mean that she is facing my back? I know it's harder to feel them when they're attached in the front because it "cushions" it where it's attached... I just don't understand baby's positions inside of their mamas I guess. And then when you go into labor and give birth, your water breaks because your placenta sort of pops right? And then you push it out after the baby. Am I wrong? I'm so confused lol
