what to expect at 6week postpartum appt?

Mine is tomorrow morning and I'm super nervous. I hate going to the dr, especially with things like this. This is rainbow baby so every appt gave me bad anxiety while I was pregnant. I had pih and pregnancy related tychacardia. I tore during delivery and even though my SO and I haven't done anything We tried(5wks pp) and it hurt I didn't even want him to go in. I'm trying not to freak out but like I said I hate going to dr I'm real nervous cause I know I can probably expect a pelvic exam.

Im 6 weeks pp and i only got checked for my breast exam. I was expecting a pelvic exam along with pressing down on belly to check size of uterus. I think they were so focused on getting me my release to work filled she didn't do the whole exam. I didn't even get asked about birth control.

Pelvic exam, breast exam, checked my incision, talked about birth control and just asked about the baby, any depression, breast feeding and in general how everything was.

I had a csection but I'd imagine they do about the same thing. He checked my incision, felt my stomach and then did a pelvic exam to make sure the uterus was back to normal. Would have done a pap while we were at it, but I wasn't due for one. Asked about breastfeeding, birth control, PPD, sleep, and that was it. Pretty painless!

I had mine yesterday. She asked how breastfeeding was going, looks at my incision and then we discussed birthcontrol. It was super quick.

They check to see if your stiches have healed and press on your belly to make sure everything has moved back into place and do a very quick insertion of finger into the vagina.
Maybe a breast exam but my dr doesn't do that until no longer breast feeding.

I had a c section so I am not sure how different it will be for you. But for me, she felt my stomach, checked my incision, and did a pelvic exam. Other than that she made sure nursing was going well, asked about depression/anxiety, and discussed birth control. Very quick appointment. No big deal!
