I voted no, but actually I want to amend that. He has an absolute right to give his opinion, and as his partner, you should consider his feelings. However, it is ultimately your choice, as the human in the room with babies exiting your vagina.

Absolutely not. I don't think he would have an opinion different than mine. He doesn't want people seeing me naked. That would be extremely uncomfortable for me and likely make me miserable in a time that should be happy and positively emotional. I will be birthing at a birth center, preferablt water birth as long as this whole pregnancy goes this smoothly, and it will only be him, my mother, and I. Everybody else can visit us when we're home and settled; because birth centers send you home four hours after giving birth.

I voted no since I am the laboring mother. I have asked him and he would like our family/friends there but maybe not in the room. I say no way! I give birth at a free standing birth center so having them there is not the problem. The issue is I am all over the place while in labor. I do not like to be stuck in bed. I like to move around. So my thoughts are I don't want a lot of people in my way talking to me, touching me, or watching me!! I only want to bring my husband and my 14 yo daughter who asked if she could witness the brith of her brother. (We are both science geeks and are amazed at the ablities of our bodies!! 🤓) In the end I get the final say!
