more formula in bottle after mixing ?

I measured out 6 oz of water, placed the 3 scoops of formula, and when I shook it up and the foam settled there was 7oz in the bottle..how does this happen? I know it's not foam and I'm really good at making sure there's exactly 6oz of water in the bottle (I get paranoid about giving her extra water lol)

It happens because your adding something extra to the water. It's like you putting a rock in a cup ful of water it's going to get higher. She is only getting 6 oz it just gets a little higher from the formula being added in.

If you read the formula can it says that once you mix the water & formula together it makes a little extra. On the enfamil cans we have it says that anyways.

It's normal. You're adding more volume because of be formula. It's still considered 6oz
