Obsessed?

Okay so my friend told me the guy I like called me 'obsessed' with him. He isn't a jerk so he's cool with it and we're friends. He always says he doesn't wanna date in highschool, and I'm technically not allowed to but I have before... Since December last year I've liked him and have been getting mixed signals about how he feels about me. I'm 90% sure he likes me too, he texted my friend that just because he "doesn't wanna date anyone doesn't mean I don't wanna be friends with her" okay am I paranoid or what bc he said DATE anyone, doesn't mean he doesn't feel something right? This school year so far he's given me plenty of reasons to think he's into me. Also my friend gave me his number which he doesn't know about, and I'm not so crazy as to text him and seem like a creep. I keep typing it in and staring at my keyboard then decide against it. Am I a creep?
