1 cm dilated anything to help labor ?

Went in for my weekly checkup. I'm 37 weeks and 5 days and was apparently having contractions , my doctor gave me and exam and said I was 1 cm dilated. My back hurts and contractions are kind of bad but I'm still 1 cm . Any natural suggestions on what to do to dilate more or help my labor get going

At 38 weeks I was having mild contractions on the monitor, I couldn't feel them though. I declined the cervix check so not sure about dilation. I started taking evening primrose oil everyday. Today I'm 40 weeks and 3cm 60% and mild contractions. Not sure if it was just the oil but I did dilate. Oh and I'm walking like 4 miles a day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.
