No pain with natural miscarriage? 2nd round
So my body is expelling a lot of blood and tissue, but I'm not having any cramping or pain whatsoever. Has anyone experienced this?
This is my second miscarriage. I miscarried naturally last summer, and again a couple of weeks ago. Both times included lots of cramping and pain along with the bleeding. This past time, I actually fainted from the pain (not from blood loss) and had to go to the ER. The ultrasound after this miscarriage showed that there was still tissue remaining in my uterus, but it was sitting pretty low and my Dr thought it would naturally come out in a couple of days. Fast forward two weeks and nothing. Been trying all week to schedule a D&C, but haven't been able to get ahold of my Dr; we're playing phone tag. Last night I had a glass of wine, the first since I found out I was pregnant on July 1. I had kind of wanted to wait to start drinking again until the miscarriage was all over (physically), mostly because I didn't want to be drunk or hungover and all of a sudden start bleeding. But last night I was like, fuck it, it's clearly not happening on its own. Right after that glass of wine I started bleeding like crazy (of course). Bled steadily for two hours, passing clots, etc. but seriously, no pain at all. I thought it was really weird. I can understand about maybe no uterine contractions because the tissue was so close to the cervix, but wouldn't the cervix opening/dilating cause some pain as well?
Still passing clots and bleeding, though not as heavily. I'm wondering what is going on with my body...
Also, this sucks.
