Skyla iud pain

Okay so I got put on skyla birth control a month ago (august 4th) and I started my period on august 15th and it ended close the first of September. since starting, I have experienced God awful cramps and even now when I'm not on my period, I'm practically immobile from how bad the cramping is. They don't feel like normal cramps either, they're like a sharp pain with like an achy feeling and it's all of my lower chest, it's on my back, pelvic, vagina and sometimes butt. It's gotten to the point where I'm crying while sitting in a warm bath hoping to relieve some of the pain. I'm worried I might have an infection but I don't know if I need to go see my regular ob or go to the er.
