Is it okay to pee/sleep with a tampon in?

Question

I have a bladder problem which makes it super hard for me to hold my pee in, so when I have to go I GOTTA GO, I can't hold it long enough to take the tampon out. I've been told it wasn't safe like I know you're not supposed to sleep with one in (which I also do every month) but I was just wondering like what's the hazards of peeing and sleeping with tampons in? I'm new to this whole tampon thing I'm sorry if I sound a bit childish.

Hunny sleeping and peeing is perfectly normal with a tampon in! I've never heard of anyone saying its bad to sleep in a tampon. I can't stand pads and would never wear one! You're fine as long as you don't exceed the 8 hours and change as regularly as you can Hun

Buy a menstrual cup, that would be alot better. You can sleep with it in and pee with it in no problems. You can leave it in for 10-13 hours. I just bought one this month. Im glad i did. When you first start using it, its weird. Deffinitaly not like a tampon. But works way better. Goodluck❤

Just change the tampon after you pee other wise any urine on the string could give you an infection

You can sleep in a tampon, you can wear a tampon up to 8 hours, so i recomend setting an alarm so you can wake up to change into another one. As far as going pee, I do it all the time so i doubt there is and danger to that.

If you have that bad of a bladder problem i wouldnt suggest sleeping with a tampon in pee can get on the string and lead to an infection not saying itll happen but it can you are supposed to change them everytime you go pee or at least i do or every few hours at least i would recommend a pad something thats easier to change also speak to your dr about different meds to help with bladder problems

Look up toxic shock syndrome, it isn't too common, but it's important for any woman using tampons to know the symptoms and know how to properly store tampons to reduce risks :)
