Menstrual Cup

First post here!!

I have a 17mo boy and he's still breastfeeding (and I'm talking on demand like a freakin newborn except he can ACTUALLY demand now lol). Anyway, last month i got my first period after his birth and it was awful as to be expected but the worst thing for me was i could not comfortably use a tampon anymore! Wouldn't go in right and i managed to get one so stuck i almost called hubby for help (but i got it). I think maybe it has to do with breastfeeding leaving me drier than normal down there?

Has anyone else had this issue and could i possibly use a menstrual cup (like diva cup) comfortably or would i probably have the same problem (dryness)??
