Someone please help??

Ok. So i took a pregnancy test a few days ago. It was more just a precaution i waited maybe a minute and the test read negative so i threw it away... My dog got into my trash can and as i was picking up the trash i looked at the test again and i can see a very faded 2nd line that would mean positive. If the test sit too long do they just come out positive? Idk what that means?
