What does a hemorrhoid feel like?

I've never had one, but I've got this little sore spot on the outside of my butt close to my butthole. (Sounds weird saying butthole). I'm not gonna stick my finger around there any more and make something worse. I don't think I feel a bump. It just feels a little sore in one spot. Maybe I sat the wrong way for too long. Idk. But I have been a little bit constipated but I don't strain myself. If it don't come, it don't come. I'll wait a while longer and drink a ton more water. And there is already a mild stool softener in my prenatals. Any advice?
