progesterone shots???

Question

I received a script today. 15 weeks and 3 days... For weekly progesterone shots. I have to administer them myself. History of preterm labor and early delivery. But never been on these before. Any information. Insight. Anything would be a huge help. Please and thank you.

I administered them myself in my last pregnancy due to 2 prior miscarriages and I started having contractions at like 13 weeks. It's a pain and takes some time to get used to but my son stayed put until I was induced. That was 5 years ago...I'm now 25 weeks pregnant again and have been lucky enough to not need them this time around :) Good luck!

My BFF took them throughout her pregnancy. She delivered her first at 36 weeks for no apparent reason. At 20 weeks they started the shots, but I think she went every other week. Regardless, her skittle guy came out right on time!
